Procedure:
Heat up your oil in a nonstick skillet over the medium high heat and sauté the onion and bell peppers until the onion is tender and translucent. Add in the minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
Add in the black beans, salsa lizano, and black bean cooking liquid. Bring to a simmer and let cook until the liquid is reduced. Stir in the cooked rice and mix until everything is evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

For this recipe, we are using Guava paste. Don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried it! Guava paste has an amazing flavor that goes so well with cheese – which is why we are also adding it into the filling!
This dish is enjoyed with coffee in the morning or even as an afternoon snack. This is a breeze to make. We’re using store-bought puff pastry for this recipe, but if you have the time to make your own – then it can be x10 better!
